This Privacy Policy covers the site owned by LumixUV Inc. ("LumixUV", "us", or "we"). The Privacy Policy governs your access to and use of the services, websites, applications, and products offered by and through LumixUV (the "Services"). Please read this statement carefully before using or proceeding to access the Services. Your use of LumixUV indicates that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and indicates your agreement to abide by the Terms of Use in effect and to be subject to this policy.

1. Information Collection

LumixUV may collect information from our users at several different points:

Mailing Lists & Service Emails - LumixUV maintains a mailing list in order to provide subscribers with relevant information or content (i.e. breaking news, special offers, or regular newsletters). In order to sign up to receive regular emails from a site's mailing list, users must submit an email address. LumixUV may track how users interact with the emails we send in a continued effort to improve our services. Users who choose to sign up for a mailing list may receive regular emails from the site, consisting of content from the site in question and/or content from third parties. LumixUV does not share any of this information with third party service providers. If you do not wish to receive emails from LumixUV, please do not sign up for the mailing list.

Cookies - LumixUV may use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how you use the Services and help us better provide the Services to you. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We may use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once the user closes the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following the user's internet browser help file directions. We store a cookie on each user's machine that contains user-specific information. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use Services that require you to "sign in," and you may not be able to take full advantage of all offerings. Links - LumixUV contains links to other sites, including third party payment processors, like Stripe or Wix (see "Payments" section below) and affiliate marketing links encoded by third parties. Such third parties do not collect any personally identifiable information unless you visit the referenced site. Please be aware that LumixUV is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by LumixUV through the Services.

Payments - If you choose to purchase a product via our website, some terms apply. Payments are handled by a third party payment processor, Wix Payments, and Wix Payments’ own terms of use and privacy policy (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy) will govern your transaction. We do not process, record or maintain your credit card number or bank account, though Wix Payments and/or the merchant may provide us with data relating to your order, such as what you purchased and how much you spent. We expressly disclaim any and all liability related to your use of the Wix Payments system, including its privacy practices.

Product Registration and Operation - Once you receive your LumixUV Products, you will be required to connect your Product to a network at home. Each LumixUV Product needs to be connected to the internet for setup. As part of the initial setup, you will be asked to download the LumixUV control app from either our website or a third-party website, such as the Google Play Store. The LumixUV app allows you to control your LumixUV system from the device of your choice (for example your phone or tablet). During the setup process, the LumixUV app will ask you to set up an account and register your system with LumixUV. You must register your LumixUV Products in order for them to work.

As part of registering your LumixUV Product, the app will prompt you to enter information such as an email address which is required to register your LumixUV system. Your LumixUV system will then establish a unique alpha-numeric identification number which we use to help identify your specific LumixUV system in a less personal manner. This identification number will be associated with the email address that you provide along with the Product serial number. As part of registration, you will need to set up a LumixUV account. We collect your password to your LumixUV account which is only used for authentication and LumixUV account access.

Embedded Content - You should also be aware that some content delivered through LumixUV, particularly in our email newsletter, may originate with another content provider. Such other content providers may place a cookie on your computer, or otherwise gather information about you, including by asking you to provide information through the content player itself. Again, it is up to you to review the terms of use and privacy policy of the originators of such content.

Log Files - Like other websites, we use log files to log certain information about how you use LumixUV. This information may be stored on third party servers, and may be used by LumixUV or its third party service providers in order to provide site personalization and assess general user interest in various internal and third party products and services. We do not, however, collect IP addresses or log IP address information.

2. Business Transitions

In the event LumixUV goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of a portion of its assets, users' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.

3. Contests, Sweepstakes, and Promotions

From time to time you may be able to participate in contests, giveaways, sweepstakes, or similar promotions that we, or third parties, may sponsor. Participation may require sharing your personal information and you should check the rules to determine how your information will be used and shared with others. LumixUV may announce specific rules in connection with any such opportunity, but regardless of whether specific rules are announced, all such opportunities will be controlled by Contest Guidelines. Any rules announced at the time of a contest will be in addition to the Contest Guidelines. As a condition to receiving any awards or prizes, you may be required to provide additional information, sign a release, or authorize the use of information about you in marketing materials. If a third party administers the contest, your participation may be subject to additional terms and conditions and that third party's privacy policy. We are not responsible for such third parties. You should carefully review the Contest Guidelines and these third parties' terms and conditions before deciding whether to participate in a contest publicized through the Services.

4. Information Security

LumixUV has technical, administrative, and physical safeguards in place to help protect against unauthorized access to, use of, or disclosure of user information we maintain. Under our security practices, access to personally identifiable information is authorized only for those who have a business need for such access and sensitive records are to be retained only as long as necessary for business, or legal, needs and destroyed before disposal. Although we work hard to protect personal information that we collect and store, no program is one hundred percent secure and we cannot guarantee that our safeguards will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use or disclose personal information. If we're going to turn over information related to you, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide you with advance notice, unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or court order.
